The Role:

We are now looking for an Electrical Engineer for sustainability to join our team. Our team in Hsinchu focuses on the design of gaming peripherals including keyboards, mice, wheels, joysticks and more.

With a good technical background, this person will support the Electrical Engineering team to drive technology and exploration projects for the design of more sustainable products.

  • Define the EE architecture of products for our Logitech G brand: Gaming keyboards, mice, controllers and steering wheels.

  • Contribute to the electronics sustainability technology roadmap.

  • Drive explorations in electronics & PCB technologies to reduce the environmental footprint.

  • Evaluate new sustainable technologies or components based on performance, user experience, risk, cost, reliability and manufacturability.

  • Collaborate closely with the design for sustainability team on the development EE tools and guidelines.

Key Qualifications:

For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and behaviors to our team:
 

  • 5 years of experience in the consumer electronics industry.

○ IOT, embedded systems.
○ ARM-based platforms.
○ Less experience can also be considered.

  • Passion for environmental protection and sustainability.

  • Experience in the following technical areas:

○ PCBA and electrical designs.
○ Good PCB layout capabilities (DC to >1GHz).
○ ESD/EFT troubleshooting.
○ EMI troubleshooting.
○ USB (2.0, PD), SPI, I2C.
○ Battery management ICs.
○ DCDC regulators (step-up, step-down, LDO).
○ LEDs driving circuits.

  • Quick learner and self-motivated: willing to learn system design.
  • Good priorities and time management skills.
  • Good communication skills with fluency in both written and spoken English.
  • Team player with outspoken, open-minded and creative personality.
  • Exposure in a multicultural working environment.

In addition, preferable skills and behaviors include:

  • Experience in Design for Sustainability (ecodesign) of electronic products

    Assessing environmental impact and circularity. 
     
    Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) methodologies.
  • Knowledge of electronic components and manufacturing processes:

  • Experience in organic electronics and printed electronics is a plus.

  • RF/wireless systems and antennas (Bluetooth, 2.4GHz).

Education:

  • Master’s degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
