Head of Global Inbound


The Role:

The Head of Global Inbound is responsible for the logistics execution of finished goods transportation from our manufacturers to the regional DCs. In this role you will be a key leader within Global Logistics engaging, the broader Supply Chain Operations team. Collaborating with senior leaders/team members in Global Planning, Global Sourcing, and Manufacturing will be an integral part of your role. As the Head of Global inbound you will play a leading role in developing the strategy and execution of logistics with the Global Coordination Center (GCC), and 3rd party logistics providers, ensuring complete alignment on the business goals both internally and externally.

  • Partner internally and externally across a range of stakeholders and service providers.

  • Lead the ongoing design and implementation of a Global Inbound Logistics capability.

  • Coordinate service delivery within the new operating model.

  • Manage an internal team and partner with the external GCC team

  • Be involved and contribute to sourcing projects for global transportation .

  • Lead the ongoing iteration of KPI and the performance management frameworks.

  • Improve process end to end on service, cost and cycle time.

  • Monitor the performance of our service providers and lead the business reviews.

  • Implement continuous improvement processes.

  • Drive a digital supply chain agenda for global transportation.

  • Lead the onboarding of new transportation partners.

  • Support the onboarding of new manufacturing providers and/or locations. 

  • Collaborate with Supply Chain stakeholders to formulate strategies, propose service models to delivery Supply Chain objectives and recommend cost saving proposals.

  • Be responsible for the update of service requirements into the scope of work.


Key Qualifications:

For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and behaviors to our team:

  • Experience with global transportation management.

  • Experience with global logistics and supply chain management.

  • Excellent project management skills .

  • Solution design / operating model experience.

  • Process improvement qualification & experience (e.g. Lean six sigma / lean).

  • Experience working in a global and matrixed organization.

  • Able to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.

  • Strong analytical skills coupled with a hands-on and flexible approach.

  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, good team player able to drive change.

  • Culturally sensitive.

  • Curious and energetic personality.

  • Fluent written and spoken English. Ability to speak Mandarin is a prefered.


Education & experience:

  • Minimum Bachelor degree in Business Administration/ Logistics.

  • Minimum 10 years experience in global transportation.
