The Team and Role:

The Head of Procurement will drive long-term Procurement strategy development, annual business planning and Procurement performance management. The role will also be accountable for defining and implementing future digital strategy for Procurement that includes systems, processes, and technologies to optimize efficiency for Procurement and end users.

You will lead a team of procurement professionals to develop strategic programs including enhancements to Strategic Category Management, Supplier Relationship Management, Supply Resiliency, Supplier Diversity, and ESG initiatives working in collaboration with internal business stakeholders and external partners. direct, build and implement a procurement strategy for forward logistics, reverse logistics, contract logistics and trade compliance brokerage services.  

Key relationships include Global Demand and Supply Planning to align strategy, capacity, and sourcing execution with Logitech's growth plans; Global Logistics operations and compliance to ensure logistics capacity for inbound, outbound, and order fulfillment to regional DCs and direct to customers; Global Finance to align on budget and manage activities to budget; Regional commercial and customer teams to improve future capabilities and deliver continuous improvement plans; and IT to enhance and develop digital procurement tools for analysis and execution.

  • Provide leadership in developing and implementing sourcing strategies
  • Champion the use of structured Commodity Management process to develop strategies including diversity, sustainability, risk assessment and business continuity.
  • Manage the contracting process and lead coordination with Legal to ensure relationships and agreements are appropriately documented.
  • Manage the supplier qualification, supplier selection, contract development, implementation, compliance and ongoing supply base management process.
  • Conduct data gathering, spend analytics and utilize market intelligence to develop procurement strategies and business cases that will assist the business in delivering measurable cost savings, cost avoidance and multi-year productivity.
  • Develop and establish a Logistics procurement strategy, processes and procedures that are consistent with corporate policy, and sound commercial, legal and ethical practices.
  • Partner with functional business units to ensure consistency across Logistics categories; Implement productivity initiatives, develop vendor management activities, and establish performance metrics to include KPIs, SLAs, and Terms and Conditions; Support transactional / tactical activities.
  • Serve as the thought leader and key point of contact on all matters related to Logistics sourcing / category management for Logitech stakeholders.
  • Evolve the Supplier Business Relationship, building deep relationships with service providers to deliver innovation, best value opportunities and solutions for Logitech.
  • Demonstrates a measurable reduction in year over year total cost of ownership for the services being sourced without compromising quality and service levels.
  • Consider financial plans, cash flow, tariffs , inventory, inflation and performance to build budgets and to inform strategy.
  • Drives adoption of global souring strategies across the enterprise and ensures on-going cross team collaboration.
  • Champion the use of procurement tools (e.g  eSourcing, Spend Visibility).
  • Lead a Global Category Team to create expertise in both the areas of spend and in strategic procurement.
  • Mentor and develop staff through coaching and development plans to address individual areas of improvement.

Key Qualifications:

For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and experiences to our team:

  • 10+ years of experience of procurement/sourcing experience with increasing global responsibility in a professional procurement function, preferably with a focus on Logistic categories.
  • 7+ years’ experience leading and managing procurement teams with a focus on mentoring, coaching and performance management.
  • Experience in sourcing services for reverse logistics, brokerage services and value added services (a plus).
  • Strong leadership and effective business partnering capabilities – influence without authority.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in a complex organisation
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing and category management process (within a technology Global Logistics related industry a distinct advantage).
  • Capable of working across all functions and levels of an organisation.
  • International experience (plus) – working experience in different countries/regions /languages.
