If you are looking to work on high-end design and material projects in consumer electronics please keep reading. Our Colour, Material & Finish team at Logitech is growing. We are searching for a Snr Engineer with a focus on Materials Science to drive advanced material implementation projects.

  • Implement & conduct innovation ideas for Logitech

  • Develop new sustainable material/process/technologies and make it ready for the products mass production

  • Managing / working with the CMF related vendors - rigid plastic, elastomer, foam, fabric, metal, and etc.

  • Managing / working with external consultant and research centers to explore the advanced material/process/technology

  • Support CMF PFE projects (independent research on material, painting, printing, plating, new materials, new deco tech...)

  • Provide CMF consulting, training and support service to China sites (ME, QA, Commodity, PMs...)

Technical Competence: 

  • Innovation mindset with an understanding of Design Thinking Methodology

  • Responsible for searching for sustainable materials or technologies and implementing in products

  • Familiar with materials knowhow & technology (plastic, metal, flexible technology and so on)

  • Experienced engineer in metal, rubber, foam or fabric.

  • Experienced engineer in relevant decoration process, learn quickly new CMF related techniques

  • Good communicator as the CMF consultant

  • Professional CMF supporter to CMF designers, PMs MEs and CMF team members. 

Personal Competence 

  • Good communication skills

  • Attention to details and flexible in a fast-moving environment

  • Being able to work efficiently in a global, multi-cultural team

  • Able to work with overseas suppliers

  • Willing to grow with Logitech CMF team

Education

  • University degree or above - training in one of the following specialties: chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science and engineering, sustainability, mechanical engineering

Experience (minimum ) 

  • 3 years experiences as material expert

  • 3 years experience in electronic manufacturing or related industries: molding, painting, printing, plastic decoration 

  • 3 year experience in working with mass production line or suppliers

  • 3 years experience working as a project engineer as a plus

  • Sustainability and LCA project experience is nice to have
