The Role:

Firmware Engineer is responsible for integrating Bluetooth Classic and Bluetooth Low Energy solutions in  Logitech Gaming, Computer peripherals products and work with global teams.

In this role you will

  • Define Firmware architecture on Microcontroller platform (ARM M0, M0+, M3, M4) with respect to functionality, performance and quality.

  • Design, Implement, Integrate and Optimize Bluetooth EDR/LE features in Logitech products.

  • Work with Product Management and Product Engineering teams to define the product contours and various development phases.

  • Work with teams to develop sensor interfacing, USB, Bluetooth, BLE, LCD, Touch screen, RF protocol.

  • Firmware development in Bluetooth EDR/LE protocol stack for various controllers(Nordic, CSR and Cypress).

  • Optimise system performance and memory for low footprint embedded products.

  • System level debugging, efforts to improve performance and reliability of Bluetooth connectivity solutions.

  • Proactive abilities to contribute to new standards, and  Security vulnerability updates.

  • Develop automated tests to evaluate the overall system reliability.

Key Qualifications:

For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and behaviours to our team:

  • 5-10 Years of experience in firmware development for low power battery devices or wireless devices.

  • Experience in USB protocol, Bluetooth or any Wireless protocol

  • Strong programming in C and assembly language, debugging & troubleshooting of uC

  • Expertise/understanding of one or more of the following drivers: I2C, SPI, UART, Flash, EEPROM

  • Good understanding of 8051 & ARM Cortex architecture based microcontrollers, register map, memory architecture and bus controllers.

  • Experience in power management in Microcontroller.

  • Excellent analytical skills and a good team player.

  • Must possess good verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong debugging skills, all the way from application to hardware and has experience in using Oscilloscope, BLE Sniffer, USB Analyser, etc.,

In addition, preferable skills and behaviours include

  • Experience in Bluetooth EDR/LE controller and HCI layers.

  • Experience in BT LE profiles(ANCS, DIS, BIS, HID etc.) and BT EDR profiles(SPP, A2DP, AVRCP, HID, HFP etc.) .

  • Experience in Windows/Mac/Linux host bluetooth stack

  • Experience in analyzing system diagnosis logs in Windows/Mac/Linux


  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in ECE, EEE, Computer Science or a related field.
