Job Title: Senior Software Engineering Manager, China For China (Shanghai)

The Role

Logitech is looking for a experienced Senior Software Engineering Manager to lead software product development in China.

This role will scale and lead full-stack teams (frontend, backend, QA, DevOps, project manager), and use Chinese technology ecosystem to innovate software experience in China and support global products to succeed in China. He/She will work directly with Business stakeholders from Logitech G (Gaming) and Personal Workspace Solutions (PWS) who are the two out of three Business Groups .  


 

Key Responsibilities

As a senior software engineering manager, you will play an instrumental role in guiding, inspiring and leading high-performing global engineering teams,  ensuring the successful development and timely delivery of Logitech’s device software experiences.  You will:

  • Lead the recruitment, coaching, and growth of a highly-talented software development team. Establish and communicate team priorities aligned with the organization's broader goals, harmonizing strategies, processes, and decision-making for seamless alignment.

  • Drive success as a senior manager by empowering teams, customizing growth plans, and maintaining high-performance standards for both Logitech and individual team goals. Set clear expectations, conduct regular performance discussions, and provide tailored coaching.

  • Cultivate a culture of excellence and innovation, keeping the team updated on industry and Logitech best practices, adhering to secure SDLC processes.  Enforce high coding standards for quality, scalability and design, ensuring teams deliver well-documented, unit and automation tested code in a CI/CD environment.

  • Oversee project execution for timely, high-quality delivery, proactively managing risk and addressing challenges across multiple projects. Translate high-level requirements into customer-focused, technically sound, easily maintainable, and cost-effective software solutions. Skillfully identify and address any unclear or missing requirements.

  • Take the lead in resolving complex technical challenges and drive solutions aligned with business goals. Lead change through effective communication and strong relationship-building within global teams.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Hardware, Firmware, Design, Product, PM, QA) to define and evaluate future architectures for Logitech devices, driving alignment and evolving the roadmap to meet future requirements. Partner with security and privacy teams to ensure all product solutions available to customers are secure by design, ensuring the safety and confidentiality of customer data

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

  • 7+ years of experience in people management and engineering leadership roles.

  • 7+ years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., C/C++, React, Python/Javascript)

  • Prior experience developing software solutions that interact with hardware peripherals a major plus

  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficient with CI/CD, and agile development methodologies as it applies to projects with hardware and firmware dependencies

  • Excellent English and Chinese communication skills, both verbal and written, fostering effective global collaboration and teamwork.

  • Ability to keep up with software industry trends and innovation.

  • Experience managing multiple concurrent programs, projects, and development teams in an agile environment

Preferred skills:

  • Experience developing and leading desktop software solutions in Windows and Mac

  • Experience working in a large organization and a startup.
