Design for Sustainability Engineer
The Logitech sustainability team is looking for a Design for Sustainability Engineer. The ideal candidate has a love for great design, a broad experience of technical product development, and is passionate about rethinking the future of consumer electronics to maximise their value to society while reducing their impact on the environment.
In this role you will support our world class engineering, design and marketing teams in bringing the environment and society into every stage of the design process, and you will have a direct influence on improving the environmental performance of millions of products.

In this role you will:
Embed in product development teams early in the design process to support decision making around environmental impact
Drive the research and adoption of sustainable alternatives to current materials and technologies
Help to develop the tools and capabilities needed to measure the environmental impact of our mechanical and electrical designs early in the design process
Drive innovation in our product development process to bring an environmental perspective to decision-making from concept to market
Challenge existing operations processes to spark innovation within manufacturing, distribution and end of life stewardship
Carry out technical analysis of internal and competitor products to support the company’ sustainability strategy
Develop best practice design guidelines for technical product development
Take part in technical cross industry projects to build know how on sustainable design technologies
For consideration, you must bring the following skills and behaviors to our team:
Broad technical product development skills
Particular focus on Mechanical, Materials and EE design
Literacy in sustainability and lifecycle thinking
Experience in LCA is a distinct advantage
Project management skills
Fluency in 3D CAD programmes, preferably Creo
Passionate about sustainability and the role of design in society
Strong communication skills
Preferred degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design or equivalent. Years of industrial experience in a relevant discipline will also be considered
Experience (minimum )
5 years minimum product development experience
