NPI Operations Program Manager
NPI Operations team supports end-to-end new product launches with established Playbook Process. The spectrum is on coordination for launch readiness, and focus on operations risk reporting with mitigation plan. Team’s functional scope ranges from early design engagement, driving DFx, connecting cross-functions (who to do what when), to hit CSX target (Cost, Schedule, eXperience).
The NPI Operations Program Manager is the primary Operations interface to cross-functional teams (BG, Engineering, Marketing, Planning, Regions), as well as the steward within operations for best NPI practices from cost and execution perspective. Key focus is to guard launch schedule via risk management, scenario planning, synergizing functions, and preventing ball-drops during handoffs. We are seeking an OPS PM with experience in new product introduction, program management, cross-functional coordination, process development/ training, and operations.
Align cross-functions for timely new product launches with established Process and deliverables.
Report risks and escalate for support of mitigation plan.
Manage Operations Strategic Programs per assignment
On assigned NPIs, report challenges/risks and resonate with stakeholders to:
Achieve on-time launch and improve time-to-market
Maintain source data for NPI KPI
Continuously improve processes and remove muda
Facilitate operations readiness on all upstream deliverables
Identify and mitigate operational risks
Smooth out yield and ramp via rigor of milestone requirements and DFx
Playbook training and Product Launch Center navigation
Administrate Product Launch Center as source of truth for schedule, tasks, compliance, finance, and documents
Be the escalation point of Operations for cross-functional alignment
Be the window for BG feedbacks on feasibility of operation model and organize discussions to resolution
Guard NPI processes with structure and flexibility
Kickoff NPI setup in PLC and escort through entire launch
Report NPI high-level risks
Facilitate NPI post-completion for lessons learned
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or other majors. PMP Credential is a plus
5+ years NPI Operations program management in consumer electronics products
Advanced user of project management tools, MS project, Viewpath
Proven ability to influence and drive changes
Willing to strive through ambiguous project status to clarity with guidance
Proven ability to practice out-of-box within structured framework
General knowledge on cross-functional areas affecting New Product: engineering, BOM structure/ cost, compliance, go-to-market
General knowledge on key operation milestones, EVT, DVT, PVT
Good knowledge on operational areas: sourcing, supply chain, manufacturing, demand/supply planning
Excellent skills in logical thinking, quantitative analyses, and problem solving
Excellent verbal/written communication and coordination skills
Highly result-driven, self-motivated, and passionate
