Lead CAD Designer
Logitech is currently seeking a Lead CAD Designer with outstanding 3D surfacing skills to join our design team in Newark (Bay Area), CA. Partnering with ID team members, the role is responsible for providing surfacing expertise and helping realize design solutions in Creo, in order to deliver the highest quality design possible for our future products.
In addition to this, you will help define and implement best practices and process while partnering with teams in Mechanical Engineering and Manufacturing, aimed at delivering and maintaining design quality throughout the product development process.

Work in a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary environment
Lead all phases of the Master Surfacing process from concept, to strategic, to tactical, to implementation
Craft beautiful details, while keeping the bigger picture in mind, and vice versa
Partner with industrial designers of all levels
Collaborate closely with Mechanical Engineering and Manufacturing partners
Provide support in the development of internal skills and tools to help the team stay at the forefront of our field
For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and behaviors to our team:
Surfacing master and craftsperson with meticulous attention to detail
6+ years of relevant experience in Master Surfacing / Creo product development in an Industrial Design environment
Well-versed in CE product development and PLM process
Strong portfolio of cutting edge surfacing that proves not only solid CAD design skills but forward thinking
Understand latest CE technologies and manufacturing processes and how to best implement them
Excellent skills in ideation, concept visualization, form development, CAD, model making and rapid prototyping
Excellent 2D and 3D skills: fluent in the Adobe Creative Suite and Creo
Highly driven and proactive self-starter - taking on a task without much context and driving it through
Experience collaborating in a multi-disciplinary design environment
Excellent communication skills
Willingness to take direction and learn from others
Requires a BA in Industrial Design / BS in Mechanical Engineering or a related degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience
