Design Technologist Intern
The Design Technologist Intern will work with the design technology team to prototype and create experience in conjunction with the interaction and visual designers. The Design Technology team is the software and hardware prototyping arm of the Design group. We work with the designers to prototype and build user experiences. We do our hardware prototyping using tools such as Arduino and Raspberry Pi.
Be Yourself. Be Open. Stay Hungry and Humble. Collaborate. Challenge. Decide and just Do. These are the behaviors you’ll need for success at Logitech. In this role you will:
Use your software development skills to work with designers, prototyping and building user experiences for mobile, desktop, or web applications.
Use your passion for good front-end development to help the team build world-class user experiences.
You may also do some hardware prototyping, using tools such as Arduino and Raspberry Pi.
For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and behaviors to our team:
Love of UX, and front-end software development. Strong opinions about what constitutes a great user interface. Help us visualize working designs that inspire the team and help us ship the real product.
In addition, preferable skills and behaviors include:
Ideally, some experience with design applications, such as Sketch or Photoshop. You won't be asked to create designs, but you will have to use the files provided by designers.
Hardware prototyping, using toolkits like Arduino, is a strong advantage.
Education: Working towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree.
Logitech is the sweet spot for people who are passionate about products, making a mark, and having fun doing it. As a company, we’re small and flexible enough for every person to take initiative and make things happen. But we’re big enough in our portfolio, and reach, for those actions to have a global impact. That’s a pretty sweet spot to be in and we’re always striving to keep it that way.
