Our EMEA VAT team currently has an opening for an experienced VAT Analyst who is eager to develop their career within a collaborative and challenging space where you can improve on the existing compliance processes and at the same time contribute in company wide initiatives and projects. If you are an independent and analytical thinker, who has developed their expertise in managing conflicting deadlines and delivering great quality work in everything you do, then this position is for you.

This is a hybrid position open to applicants located in Ireland where the company has an established Finance division present. Some presence in the offices located in Cork may be needed on an occasional basis.

  • ● Prepare VAT returns (monthly, quarterly, bi-monthly VAT returns, VIES, Intrastat returns)

    within the EMEA region.

    ● File VAT returns and ensure payment is made or track refunds

    ● Manage correspondence with the tax authorities and external auditors

    ● Perform month end closing and draft the VAT reconciliation papers

    ● Actively identify, manage, and mitigate any potential VAT risks

    ● Prepare and maintain the internal compliance processes up to date

    ● Expand your knowledge of how the VAT determination logic works in Oracle

    ● Monitor VAT legislation and identify the impact on the group companies

    ● Participate in global projects and prepare necessary information as directed by your

    supervisor

    ● Take part in any ad-hoc tax tasks as required by the business.

    Qualifications

    We are looking for a special individual with the following skills:

    ● Relevant degree in accounting with proven VAT compliance experience covering multiple

    countries within the EMEA region, preferably gained while working in a multinational

    environment

    ● Proficiency with Oracle and Microsoft Office (especially Excel)

    ● A self-starter who can balance independent work in a fast-paced environment with tasks

    requiring teamwork

    ● Multitasking to ensure the requests of the stakeholders are met

    ● motivation, organized and flexible individual with strong attention to detail

    ● Excellent oral and written communication skills in English. Any additional language is a plus
