The Role: Marketing & Category management of Logitech’s Music Brands (Ultimate Ears & Jaybird) in the UK & Ireland markets.
We are looking to recruit a special individual with a passion for technology products, who will be responsible for full ‘cradle to grave’ Category and Marketing management of their respective brands. There is a high level of autonomy in this role.
They will be responsible for the execution of all Logitech’s marketing strategy in the UK and will uphold and build our A-brand status across all sales channels. They will be fully responsible for the marketing budget for their categories.
You will lead campaigns, work with a series of agencies on digital, trade and social media. You will create marketing plans with retailers on various campaigns in-store and digitally, and you will build launch plans. This is a very varied and fully encompassing role where passion and energy are key to success.
Overall Job Purpose:
Create sustainable demand programmes for our Music products that enable the Account teams to beat quarterly & annual category targets
Continuously develop & execute plans that convert shoppers to the UE & Jaybird brands at a higher rate than competitive brands can do
Be accountability for & report regularly on
Annual & Quarterly Category revenue Targets (SI/ SO)
Improved ASP mix
Market share improvements (GFK)
Increase offline / online consideration & conversion
Optimising NPI roll out quickly & efficiently
Development of UK Category Strategy & alignment with BG/ Category/ Cluster Plans
Regularly update UK Market, Competitor & Customer analysis
Provide input of UK/I strategic needs
Align programmes to drive synergies (with EMEA) while ensuring the UK/I gets what is needed to be successful in the marketplace
Build brand conversion in offline & online channels
Understand customer journey & purchase motivation
Build programmes to drive awareness & consideration
Maximise conversion & increase brand share
Create & execute demand generation programmes that drive Key Account business
Quarterly customer category & promotional programmes
Support KAM team in delivering new distribution for category products
Support KAM team in optimising range assortment mix
Drive increased hit rate in Key Accounts by optimising marketing mix
Develop category management/ ECR plans where possible with key accounts
Execute NPI rollout quickly & efficiently
Optimise compliance through effective & efficient use of field marketing & utilisation of store level data
Timely, efficient & controlled Administration of the business
Provide demand generation/ promotional plan on time
Manage OPEX on budget/ plan
Skills and Experience:
Ideally 5+ years marketing experience in CE environment with a recognised A-brand company. We will also consider candidates from other sectors where those sectors are focused on consumer sales and sell through activity with retailers,
Understanding of how to win in highly competitive consumer product markets
Comprehensive understanding of the local retail market and how to maximise marketing campaigns within the different customers.
Balance of Marketing skills including product introduction, Instore activities and execution, online experience and digital campaigns, product marketing. PR and social media, event management, agency management and strong Marketing Planning experience.
Strong project management skills, detail orientated and highly organised.
Hard working, hands-on and positive personality - highly self-motivated.
Solid presentation & negotiation skills and ability to manage relationships with key retail partners.
In addition, preferable skills, interests and educational background include:
Passion for music and sports (in particular running).
Experience growing direct to consumer vs. channel.
University degree/ post graduate Marketing qualification
