Responsibilities:

New product CMF engineering design: make the link between ID/CMF design and manufacturing to achieve optimal user experiences and manufacturability.
Prototyping: to conduct fast prototyping to evaluate ideas and experience to help the project team to understand consumer needs and feasibility.
Translate the concept descriptions from Design and marketing into feasible/achievable engineering activities.
Define reliability testing requirements, protocol, and equipment.
Explore and develop material formulations for new and existing products
Work with x-functions to ensure that CMF specifications are met
Conduct material testing and characterization
Stay up-to-date on the latest CMF trends and technologies
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation in material and CMF process formulation

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Chemistry, Materials Science, or Chemical Engineering
5+ years of experience in material development, decoration processes, color development area, preferably in the CMF industry.
Candidates with a proficient level of both written and spoken English
Experience with resin or paint/ink formulation development
Strong understanding materials science, post decoration processes like painting, printing, anodizing, plating. ME experience is preferred.
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
