The Logitech sustainability team is looking for a great Product Teardown Specialist. The ideal candidate has a gift for managing data, broad technical experience of consumer electronics hardware, and is passionate about Logitech’s goal of bringing Carbon Clarity to consumer electronics.
In this role you will be key to advancing Logitech’s Design for Sustainability and Carbon Clarity programs through which we are committed to disclosing and reducing the carbon footprint of our entire portfolio of products.

Responsibilities -
Carry out detailed physical teardowns of Logitech products, with a focus on building reliable databases of information.
Generate detailed bill of materials (BoMs) relying on accurate and detailed technical information such as weight data, material grade, manufacturing processes etc.
Capture and maintain records of product teardowns with detailed photos and videos of step by step disassembly process.
Document breakthrough findings and insights into product design attributes such as manufacturability, repairability, reliability during teardown analysis
Validate supplier/manufacturing BoM by cross referencing with teardown information to ensure reliability of input data for Logitech’s Carbon Clarity Program
Carry out data mining including management, manipulation, analyze, and extrapolation of third-party provided tear down
Key Qualifications & Attributes required:
Product development or manufacturing background with strong understanding of ME, EE components of products
Broad experience of consumer electronics with particular emphasis on mechanical and electronic components, materials and processes.
Experience in the teardown and documentation of consumer electronics products or equivalent
Very strong Microsoft Excel skills
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Affinity for data entry processes.
Rigorous approach to documentation
