The Team and Role:

The Global SW UX Design team at Logitech, which belongs to our Creative & Design organization, crafts design-led, software-enabled hardware products for both work and play. The team works on both hardware and software, balancing constraints with creativity and applying a deep understanding of users. We design award-winning products and experiences that people love, all within a culture that values curiosity, kindness, and excellence. 

The Lead UX Designer, B2C Gaming Software Design, is responsible for designing our consumer-facing software platforms, delivering complex software features that enable and support our hardware products while keeping an eye on the big picture of platform design, usability, and development. 

Lead UX Designers at Logitech are design experts who understand the overall vision and anticipate the needs and challenges of the teams with whom they work. They are independent leaders with extensive experience in setting design objectives and strategies, and they excel at crafting and confidently presenting strategic product narratives to all levels of the organization.

- Design complex software features to complement exciting and innovative hardware products.

- Working with a design system and guidelines.

- Apply your extensive experience to lead software design, setting the right objectives, approaches, and methods.

- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of designers, engineers, and product managers.

- Communicate your design proposals confidently and effectively.

- Make strategic recommendations where appropriate and guide decision-makers through the process.

- Work within a global team, which may occasionally require flexibility for meetings across time zones.

- Have the opportunity for international travel.

Key Qualifications:

For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and experiences to our team:

- Have experience solving tough interaction problems and thinking through the challenges that come with structuring a large, complex application.

- Have an expert understanding of software and hardware constraints. 

- Deep expertise in desktop software design and close collaboration with software engineers, firmware engineers, and product managers.

- You communicate proactively and effectively across multiple levels within design and stakeholders.

- Previous experience at a senior designer level or above within an agency or organization.

- An appreciation for multiple perspectives and the ability to balance them in your designs.

- Excellent verbal/written communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to successfully articulate design concepts.

- Understanding of the latest development tools, technologies, and processes, and the ability to apply them depending on project needs. This includes fluency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.

- A keen sense of current and future technology developments and how they can enhance design for users.

-High comfort level in working within a self-directed culture and navigating ambiguity. 

- A portfolio demonstrating all of the above.
