Position at Logitech

The Role:

An Expert Electronic and Embedded Software Engineer is needed for the Creativity and Productivity (C&P) business unit of Logitech. As a key member of our Design Center in Cork, you will be responsible for EE and ESW development of a portfolio of products for the MX category of Logitech's C&P Business Unit.  This will include design, conception, implementation and validation of advanced technologies as well as testing setups to design for manufacturing. You will be part of a team building technology blocks in the Strategic Front End, through product development, and into successful mass production in the Far East. This is a 1 yr Fixed Term Contract position.

  • Design, analyse, document and test new technologies to bring them in future products.

Key Qualifications:

For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and behaviors to our team:

  • 5+ years in an Embedded Software engineering role within product development.

  • You are able to write optimized firmware or embedded software in microcontrollers (C, C++ including test and debug ).

  • Experiences in 8051 and ARM Cortex-M series MCU firmware development.

  • Expert knowledge in Electronics (conception, design and validation of electronic boards).

  • You know Python well and/or equivalent.

  • You have a good understanding of complex systems.

  • You’re creative and curious with practical mindset and strong problem solving skills

  • You are self driven, take initiative and autonomous 

  • Working with team spirit inspires you.

  • New technologies are a passion of yours and  motivates

  • You are Looking for challenges .

  • Customer centric is your way of thinking.

  • You have a good knowledge of  mechanics and/or micro-mechanisms.


In addition, preferable skills and behaviors include:

  • You know how to analyse collected data.

  • You have a good knowledge in SW development (Apps in C#,  Java, NodeJS or equivalent).

  • Experiences in Bluetooth and bidirectional RF Human Interface Device (HID) firmware development 

  • Signal processing experience

  • Version control tools: git... 

  • Agile development, unit testing, scripting 

  • You are familiar and experienced with project management.

  • You have strong communication skills.

  • Failing is not an issue for you.

  • Fluent in french is an advantage



  • BEng(Hons)/MEng in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or Computer Engineering with strong firmware engineering experience. 

  • Experience in startup or high volume manufacturing industry would be a plus.

  • Demonstrated in entrepreneurship skills.
