 Global Insights Lead for Logitech Video Collaboration Commercial Organisation

This position is to be located at our Logitech office in Lausanne, Switzerland once our offices reopen. Until further notice, this position is worked remotely and synched with CET time zone.

The Global Insights Lead for VC will play a key supporting role within the new established Global Video Collaboration Commercial Organisation (GVCC). The GVCC’s objective is to accelerate business development of our Video Conferencing business, and will do so through a customer-first culture.

The Global Insights Lead for VC will also play a key supporting role to the Video Conferencing Business Group, responsible for developing new product and experience ideas so as to sustain the strong portfolio on this business.

The core responsibility of this role is to champion user and B2B decision maker perspective and needs. This newly created role is designed to provide a heavy strategic advantage by getting ahead with sharp, smart commercial roadmaps that anticipate their needs.

This position will focus on creating insights from multiple sources of information, all with the objective of developing and marketing relevant product and service solutions that people love.  

The role will report to the Global Director of Consumer Insight, with a dotted reporting line to the GVCC Head of Solutions Architecture.

In this role you will:

  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to develop and prioritise the strategic learning agenda to support the VC commercial business.

  • Provide an holistic understanding of IT Decision Maker behavior, pain points and needs that can be leveraged for new product development and commercial strategy.

  • Furthermore, provide a similar level of understanding for end user behaviors and needs that can be leveraged for the same purposes.

  • Execute with excellence all research endeavors. This will be achieved by executing qualitative and quantitative primary research, and by leveraging analytics and secondary research too.

  • Build and manage GVCC customer/channel user groups for ongoing customer learning needs.

  • Develop strong insight in close collaboration with business partners so as to influence portfolio development and commercial strategies.

  • Manage external agencies to develop research projects; you will also need to conduct and analyse research yourself when appropriate. 

  • Collaborate across different Business Groups for commercialisation of more holistic business solutions

  • Attend business meetings with the GVCC Solutions Architect to understand the strategic and competitive context 

  • Manage research budgets.

Key Qualifications

For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and behaviors to our team:

  • Have minimum 8 years of experience in research and insights fields, of which at least 4 must be in B2B.

  • Have strong writing, presentation preparation and storytelling skills.

  • Show proven ability to manage a multi-regional learning plan with many stakeholders.

  • Be an excellent business strategist and relationship builder, with strong client service and influencing skills.

  • Able to be thorough with data and disciplined in drawing conclusions; yet also willing to express personal judgment and help the business make intuitive leaps when necessary. Demonstrate the ability to effectively express ideas and opinions on team-level tasks.

  • Have an interest in consumer electronics and technology and understand industry players, current issues, and what’s in the future.
