Logitech seeks a smart, highly organized and results oriented legal operations leader. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record of success with hands-on execution in developing and implementing policies, procedures and processes to meet the Logitech Legal Department needs globally. This new role will support the development of the department’s mission and strategies, delivering ongoing innovation and important operational projects, increasing efficiencies and effectiveness, and deploying best-in-class practices and tools. We have a relentless focus on driving results for our business partners and enabling them to invest more into developing and bringing new innovative products to market. This role will report to the General Counsel and will engage in a highly visible way with a wide array of internal and external constituents.

Responsibilities

  • Help develop and implement Legal’s operational and strategic plans in partnership with the department’s leaders supporting the department’s strategies and mission (and in line with the business’s objectives).

  • Work closely and collaboratively with Legal’s leadership team to set strategy and execute process improvements to focus the department on high value and high impact work and appropriately manage risk

  • Provide creative thinking to help identify cutting-edge strategies for increasing value, reducing low value work and optimizing outside legal spend while maintaining excellent legal representation.

  • Support department planning by creating meaningful department metrics, business analysis and industry benchmarking.

  • Own legal department technology solutions and related processes, including contract management, E-billing, document and matter management, Intranet and E-Discovery systems in order to drive efficiency, collaboration, and departmental alignment.

  • Develop legal department technology roadmap in partnership with department leadership.

  • Develop policies and processes required for maximum efficiency and consistency across the Legal Department effectively managing risk allocation and achieving value for the overall business.

  • Work with Legal’s leadership team to determine future Legal Operations team hires, develop job requirements and lead the hiring process.

  • Manage Legal’s financial plans and budgets, ensuring that its financial targets and objectives are met.

Professional Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years legal industry experience, experience in legal operations management preferred but not required.

  • In-house experience with a global company demonstrating strong experience in the areas detailed above strongly desired.

  • Demonstrated strong business and financial acumen and ability to utilize sound business judgment in providing actionable legal and strategic solutions. MBA preferred but not required.

  • Demonstrated experience with strategic planning, outside counsel management, staff personnel management, employee compensation analysis, employee recruitment, retention and training, and systems implementation and management.

  • Experience working with and managing outside counsel, running RFP (or similar) process to optimize value, reduce costs and increase quality.

  • Knowledge of and demonstrable experience implementing and managing core legal systems, including E-Billing, Document Management, Contract Management, E-Discovery, etc.

  • Very strong organizational and project management skills. Capable of handling multiples projects / initiatives simultaneously and executing to completion.

  • Prior staff management experience. A mentor manager with a superior ability to manage and coach individuals with disparate interests and career trajectories.
