Product Manager – Mortgage Servicing Payments and Default Services

Position Summary:

The Agile Product Manager is responsible for working with stakeholders to establish product vision, data driven strategy and product roadmap.  The Agile Product Manager will work as a member of the Planning Chapter, driving stakeholder engagement; product definition and improvement to maximize product value; works with stakeholders to establish product roadmaps; manages and prioritizes the product backlog; documents requirements in the form of stories; and works with their squad to ensure acceptance criteria are met.  This role understands agile development processes and understands software applications, user interface design, and the business needs and is able to simplify complex and sometimes competing requirements.


  • Plan product development.
  • Work with stakeholders to establish the product vision, strategy, roadmap and priorities.
  • Collaborate with technical engineering leadership to ensure key architectural roadmap items are represented in the product backlog
  • Discuss the expectations and the progression of the product with business users and customers.
  • Lead business analysis sessions to support new and enhancement development efforts.
  • Develop and communicate the vision of the product being developed.
  • Create user stories, user acceptance criteria, epics, process maps, data mapping and formal requirements documentation.
  • Prioritize the requirements/User Stories based on their business value and risks.
  • Define the goals of Sprints and Releases.
  • Communicate with the business users and stakeholders on a regular basis to provide feedback on progress of the implementation of the vision.
  • Work with the product squad to develop training resources and provide internal and external stakeholder training on an as needs bases.
  • Participate in meetings, and accurately capture meeting notes and perform post-meeting communication to attendees.


  • Minimum of 5+ years experience in Agile Product Manager or similar role.
  • Experience with Mortgage Servicing
  • Familiarity with BKFS Mortgage Servicing Platform (MSP) a plus.
  • Preferred Domain Knowledge: Performing and Non-performing (Default) Servicing, Payment Processing, CRM, Customer Service, Contact Center, IVR, Document Management, Servicing Data, B2C, Web, Portal.
  • Agile Experience: Experience operating in an agile environment. Establish product vision, strategy, roadmap, prioritization of backlog, plan product development and execution.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with excellent meeting facilitation skills to effectively lead Agile Scrum ceremonies such as Sprint Reviews, Story Refinement sessions, and Feature Discovery sessions.
  • Basic Systems Understanding: Comfortable performing basic technical tasks using SQL, Azure DevOps, and MS Office. Critical thinker, able to learn quickly, converse confidently with business partners, gather requirements, and suggest solution options.
  • Key Competencies/Behaviors: Self Starter, proactive, organized, collaborative, professional presence (can lead meetings confidently), high emotional intelligence (works well with others), thinks strategically and not just tactically.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
