Sr Leader, Product Management

Information Technology | Irvine, California Plano, Texas

Description

Position at loanDepot

Position Summary:

Responsible for owning and optimizing the earliest stages of the customer journey—from first touch through engagement, qualification, and handoff. This role drives measurable improvements in contact rate, lead activation, and conversion through a disciplined test-and-learn operating model. Partnering closely with Marketing, Growth leadership, Sales, and the Innovation Lab, this leader shapes the enterprise growth strategy, scales proven experimentation outcomes, and ensures that top-of-funnel product capabilities continually evolve to support revenue acceleration.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and communicates the top-of-funnel product strategy, quarterly priorities, and long-term roadmap aligned to enterprise growth objectives.
  • Establishes clear success metrics tied to contact rate, engagement, qualification, and conversion outcomes.
  • Owns conversion gating logic, qualification signals, routing criteria, and handoff design to downstream teams.
  • Leads cross-functional experimentation cycles, including hypothesis development, A/B testing, sequencing, and iterative optimization across SMS, email, dialing, and other engagement channels.
  • Translates experimental results into scalable product capabilities, platform enhancements, and repeatable playbooks for varying levels of the organization – from executive to front-line employees.
  • Ensures that product insights and experimentation frameworks directly inform Marketing campaign design, sequencing, and measurement.
  • Partners with Marketing on strategic hypothesis setting, targeting strategy, and early-funnel engagement approaches (while Marketing maintains channel execution).
  • Collaborates closely with Sales leadership to reduce friction in early-funnel interactions, improve routing accuracy, accelerate time-to-first response, and strengthen qualification handoffs.
  • Works with Operations and Platform Product teams to improve signal quality, reduce downstream fallout, and ensure early-funnel improvements translate into end-to-end funnel efficiency.
  • Co-creates growth bets with the Innovation Lab, shaping test design and accelerating transition of successful prototypes into scaled products.
  • Builds and maintains trusted dashboards that connect leading indicators (contact rate, engagement signals, routing performance) to downstream outcomes and revenue impact.
  • Delivers executive-level insights, recommendations, and strategic updates based on data, experimentation results, and market trends.
  • Identifies and pursues cross-department opportunities that strengthen alignment, reduce latency, and drive material lift in conversion.
  • Performs other duties and projects assigned.
Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Business Analytics or related field preferred and/or a minimum of ten (10) + years’ experience, ideally in high-velocity, heavily matrixed, data-driven environments
  • Demonstrated success owning top-of-funnel strategy, experimentation, or conversion optimization.
  • Proven track record of driving measurable improvements in activation, qualification, or lead conversion.
  • Experience in the Mortgage industry preferred.
  • Travel 10%+ of time required.
  • Strong command of experimentation methodologies, including A/B testing, sequencing, and funnel diagnostics.
  • Exceptional ability to interpret data, connect leading indicators to business outcomes, and influence executive decision-making.
  • Deep cross-functional collaboration skills with a track record of partnering across Marketing, Sales, Operations, and technical teams.
  • Strong strategic thinking combined with hands-on operational execution capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to synthesize complex insights into clear, concise recommendations.
  • Solid problem-solving skills with a practical, solution-focused approach.
