Job Summary:

 

Responsible for leading the strategy and execution of search engine optimization initiatives to increase organic traffic, improve search rankings, and drive business growth. This role involves overseeing keyword research, on-page and off-page optimization, technical SEO, and content strategy. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of SEO best practices, analytics, and search engine algorithms, with experience managing SEO campaigns and reporting on performance. Collaboration with content, development, and marketing teams is essential to ensure SEO strategies are effectively implemented and aligned with overall business goals.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Develop and Execute SEO Strategy:

  • Collaborate with an expert Editorial team, advanced Engineers, and a world-class Design team to create and implement a robust SEO strategy to drive brand visibility for loanDepot.
  • Act as a key player in the marketing strategy, making data-driven decisions to impact business outcomes.

 

Analyze and Report:

  • Assess organic search landscapes to identify opportunities for valuable traffic and measurable bottom-line impact in collaboration with experience and business teams.
  • Focus on improving brand visibility by optimizing organic rankings, driving full-funnel visibility through traffic growth and conversions that impact the P&L.
  • Ensure the site and pages are technically optimized for mobile users and search performance, including elements like information architecture, schema management, semantic HTML, page speed, and crawling/indexing performance.
  • Leverage proprietary in-house marketing tools and apply analytical thinking to large datasets to inform strategic decisions.
  • Prepare and present financial performance reports to senior leadership.

 

Ideate and Innovate:

  • Develop and test custom solutions end-to-end, applying strong analytical and statistical methodologies to optimize results.
  • Collaborate with Senior SEOs and other team members to build and evolve the EEAT (Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness) strategy, enhancing the brand's connection with users.
  • Launch innovative experiences to meet user needs throughout their financial journey.

 

Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams:

  • Implement comprehensive SEO strategies (Content/On-Page, Technical, and Off-Page SEO) in partnership with Editorial, UX, and Creative teams.
  • Drive an innovative content strategy to diversify offerings, establish authority, and assist users at every stage of their financial life cycle.

 

Essential Knowledge & Skills

 

  • Strong data analytical skills and ability to pull & manipulate multiple datasets to inform strategy with data
  • Ability to work within Content Management System (CMS) like Wordpress and Storyblok.
  • Ability to collaborate with Bankrate's Engineering Team to improve the CMS and to improve Technical SEO fixes.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets tools like VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables.
  • Ability to work with data using tools such as Google Analytics, Looker Studio, Google Tag Manager, and similar reporting platforms.
  • Passionate about innovating in organic search, don't accept theories at face value, and enjoy testing to prove the effectiveness of tactics.
  • Innovative, on-the-spot, creative problem solver who demonstrates both technical and analytical skills.
  • Comfortable working with business leaders in forecasting, competitive analysis, and business modeling.
  • Opinionated about the long-term direction of organic search and can work to translate it into strategy.
  • Ability to discern signal from noise using statistical approaches such as sampling, hypothesis testing, and a/b testing.
  • Diligent in tracking the competitive landscape.
  • Stays close to industry trends and a frequent reader of SEO journals and newsletters.

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum three (3) + years’ experience in Growth Marketing, Marketing Analytics, Search Engine Optimization, or a similar role as a self-starting, curious, proven performer.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required in Marketing or similar field.
  • Familiar with the Scrum Agile Framework of software development.
  • Familiar with a number of SEO suites and tools including: Ahrefs, SEMRush, SEOClarity, Botify, Google Search Console, and Screaming Frog.
  • Comfortable with basic HTML for on-page SEO tactics with some Technical SEO exposure.
  • Experience in the Mortgage industry preferred.

Base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay for this role is between $65,000 and $99,000. Your base pay will depend on multiple individualized factors, including your job-related knowledge/skills, qualifications, experience, and market location.
