Position Summary:          
           
Our Payroll Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee wages, while calculating hours worked, handling tax deductions, and addressing payroll-related inquiries, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and company policies.          
           
Responsibilities:          
  • Assists with monitoring and replying to the payroll inbox daily, while providing excellent customer service to employees inquiring about payroll topics.
  • Reviews, reconciles, and processes payroll in a timely and efficient manner, and processes garnishments, levies, and salary verifications.
  • Assists with monitoring time sheets for accuracy and makes corrections as necessary; instructs employees on the use of Time and Attendance.
  • Performs monthly benefit audits to ensure payroll deductions and plans match; assists with 401(k) administration.
  • Coordinates with HR concerning employee info, deductions, and adjustments.
  • Managing garnishments appropriately and accurately.
           
Requirements:          
  • Experience with Workday payroll is required.
  • Required to work onsite in our Irvine location, 5 days a week to start; must be within a commutable distance.
  • Intermediate-level Excel skills are highly preferred.
  • Experience with multistate payroll, ADP SmartCompliance, and garnishment regulations preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience with Workday payroll processing.

Base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay for this role is between $25 to $30.00 an hour. Your base pay will depend on multiple individualized factors, including your job-related knowledge/skills, qualifications, experience, and market location.
