Position Summary:
Responsible for assisting with the overall vendor management of our panel appraiser partners. Assists with the monitoring and implementation of quality and compliance requirements related to the review and assessment of residential appraisals. Assigns escalated appraisal orders as well as handles critical escalations pertaining to production and appraiser performance. This position ensures the performance of all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, all U.S. state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Researches appraiser candidates to determine eligibility based on licensing, disciplinary action, and HUD certification.
  • Works extensively to identify qualified appraisers to accept escalated appraisal orders.
  • Builds and maintains company and appraiser profiles in SharePoint and appraiser’s individual files.
  • Maintains current insurance and licenses for all appraisal vendors; provides verbal and written communication to appraisal vendors as needed.
  • Manages department inbox, pulls reports and performs duties to support Panel Support team needs.
  • Adds new companies and new appraisers to CMS/Appraisal Port.
  • Tracks escalation trends or potential concerns/trends in orders declined for process improvement; supports Panel Support team to help refine existing processes to add efficiency.
  • Develops and maintains quality relationships with all appraisers.
  • Applies uniform standards of professional appraisal practices regarding objectivity, integrity, confidentiality, and ethical conduct.
  • Participates in ongoing training and enhancement activities.
  • Stays informed of all changes/updates in regulatory compliance requirements by federal, state, and local levels.
  • Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or minimum of one (1) + years’ equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in the Mortgage industry preferred.
  • Experience working with nationwide vendors preferred.
  • Experience with SharePoint, appraisal port and CMS preferred.

Base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay for this role is between $18.00 and $24.00/hr. Your base pay will depend on multiple individualized factors, including your job-related knowledge/skills, qualifications, experience, and market location.
