Position Summary: 
 
Responsible for supporting strategic external communications to enhance brand visibility and maintain loanDepot’s reputation as a trusted lifetime partner for homeowners. Responsibilities include media relations, content development, and collaboration across teams to execute PR initiatives. Emphasizes strong writing, organization, and storytelling within a fast-paced, dynamic communications environment. This position ensures the performance of all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, all U.S. state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates.
 
Responsibilities:
 
  • Manages news release distribution via Business Wire and curated media lists.
  • Builds, updates, and segments target media lists to support outreach strategies.
  • Manages select proactive media outreach efforts and fields inbound media requests.
  • Drafts and edits media materials, including news releases, talking points, and pitches.
  • Tracks and manages awards submissions and relevant conference participation.
  • Compiles and distributes daily company and industry news clips for the leadership team.
  • Conducts research to support executive media briefings, trend analysis, and PR planning.
  • Creates and maintains a monthly public relations performance report.
  • Develops and maintains corporate press materials, including backgrounders, fact sheets, and SME bios.
  • Maintains and updates the company’s digital media room.
  • Monitors online media review sites for accuracy and initiates corrections as needed.
  • Handles administrative tasks, including purchase orders, contracts, and vendor coordination.
  • Supports broader communications initiatives as needed, including social media and internal communications team members.

Requirements:
 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in public relations, communications or journalism preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) + years of related work experience.
  • Experience working with media monitoring/database platforms (Cision, Meltwater, etc.).
  • Experience drafting media materials with AP writing standards.

Base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay for this roles is between $49,000 and $85,500. Your base pay will depend on multiple individualized factors, including your job-related knowledge/skills, qualifications, experience, and market location.
