Position Summary:

Responsible for serving as a resource for regulatory matters and compliance related initiatives in a consumer lending environment.


  • Responsible for remediation/corrective action stemming from exam findings or internally identified regulatory findings for the consumer lending channel.
  • Interacts with senior management and/or state or federal regulators as required.
  • Interprets, analyzes, and implements state or federal regulations.
  • Reviews policies or procedures, training modules, marketing, etc. and performs compliance testing and monitoring (as appropriate) to determine compliance with state or federal laws or regulations.
  • Works with the business, compliance, and/or technology staff to advise on most efficient ways to enhance systems and procedures to meet minimum state or federal legal requirements while minimizing risk to the organization.
  • Recommends changes to existing programs based on evaluation of laws and regulations with a focus on compliance and integrity.
  • Performs legal research and analysis of data related to compliance practices, policies, and procedures.


  • (5) + years’ Compliance Experience -Home Equity(Heloc) and Personal Lending Experience Required
  • Demonstrates knowledge of, adherence to, monitoring and responsibility for compliance with state and federal regulations and laws as they pertain to this position.
  • Demonstrates working knowledge of various state or federal laws or regulations including (but not limited to): TILA, ECOA, Fair Housing Act, Fair Lending, State or Federal High Cost, RESPA, FCRA/FACTA, Privacy, UDAAP, SAFE, SCRA.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
