SVP, Servicing Default Operations
Description
Position Summary:
Responsible for leading the development, growth and daily operation of loanDepot’s default operations departments, including loss mitigation, foreclosure, bankruptcy and post liquidations teams as well as our default reporting and property preservation departments. This position ensures the performance of all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, all U.S. state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates.
Responsibilities:
- Oversees department leadership across multiple operating sites, including remote staff. Maintains appropriate staffing levels to meet operational needs.
- Develops and maintains policies and procedures that ensure compliance with applicable servicing standards and to achieve service level agreements. Exercises considerable judgment in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
- Participates as a member of senior leadership in the management of relationships with customers, investors, Regulators and rating agencies.
- Directs implementation of and upgrades to automation and systems to maintain efficiency and productivity.
- Manages and ensures the timely and accurate preparation and completion of monthly management reports.
- Carries out all functions in the on-going development of the default operations teams for loanDepot servicing, vendor relationships, KPI’s, process flows, policies and procedures.
- Analyzes, interprets and provides leadership and direction to team management regarding portfolio performance as well as departmental and associate performance to ensure maximum efficiency is achieved.
- Drives strategic vendor implementation strategies that will provide efficiencies and cost savings to the company – implementation includes analyzing service providers, negotiating service level agreements, development of testing plans, controls to ensure compliance with investor and insurer requirements as well as adherence to loanDepot requirement expectations.
- Provides consultation and expert advice to management regarding industry best practices to ensure operational soundness to meet company goals for growth.
- Identifies and assesses areas of compliance to effectively mitigate risks, prevent violations of laws, regulations, guidelines or loanDepot policies; ensures all applicable requirements are met.
- Partners with internal business partners to ensure excellent customer service supporting company values.
- Provides input, coordinates the requirements and supports the design and delivery of training programs
- Performs other duties and projects assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree, and/or fifteen (15) years in default mortgage servicing experience required.
- Minimum fifteen (15) years of management experience preferred.
- Experience with BKFS MSP system is required.
- Experience with BKFS FC/BK and Invoicing Applications is required.
