Position Summary: 
 
Our Production Assistant/Loan Specialist will be tasked with supporting the Loan Consultant and/or Sales Manager in loan origination activities and administrative actions related to serving the clients and borrowers. The Loan Specialist preferably is licensed, however, will not be engaged in personal loan production.
 
Responsibilities:
 
  • Responsible for qualifying prospective borrowers and provides borrowers with a list of items needed for successful loan funding and completion.
  • Communicates effectively with prospective borrowers by providing estimated worksheets and rate quotes.
  • Meets externally with realtors and builders to develop business for assigned Loan Consultant/Sales Manager.
  • Assists in facilitating open communication with borrowers and Loan Processors at the branch or in the corporate office.
  • Interacts with the processing organization and operations to ensure that all files are closed on behalf of assigned Loan Consultant.
  • Provides daily/weekly status to the Loan Consultant regarding status of all files currently in progress.
  • Attends any identified mandatory Loan Consultant meetings.
  • Assists Loan Consultant/Sales Manager with identified CRM activities.
  • Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements:
 
  • Minimum of one (5) + years in the financial services/mortgage industry required.
  • NMLS loan originator license preferred.
  • Continuing education classes required by licensing authority - if applicable. 
  • Continuing training classes required by the company to meet CFPB requirements - if applicable. 
  • High School Degree or equivalent required and a minimum of one (1) + years’ experience working in a similar field.
