Position Summary:

Responsible for using full stack product design skills in collaboration with Product Managers, Product Analysts, and Engineers to create, validate and implement innovative solutions from initial concept and strategy through the execution of design and then product releases. This position ensures the performance of all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, all U.S. state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads projects across the entire product lifecycle. Partners with product managers, engineers and other stakeholders to deliver end to end UX solutions from conception to launch.
  • Uses insights about user needs, motivations, and behaviors to create human-centered solutions that translate into impactful results.
  • Responsible for the quality of design deliverables, working autonomously and demonstrating initiative and ownership over work.
  • Conducts user research, validates concepts with end-users and stakeholders, and turns insights into value-adding features and actionable deliverables.
  • Designs flows and experiences that are incredibly simple and elegant.
  • Takes broad conceptual ideas and turns them into something useful and valuable to our customers.
  • Collaborates with the rest of the design team to evolve and refine our design system, ensuring visual cohesion and engineering efficiency across all user touch points.
  • Uses excellent communication skills to share your work with product partners, design peers and leadership.
  • Facilitates meetings to help set up frameworks and brainstorm initial design concepts.
  • Works with your design teammates and design leadership to refine the design process and culture.
  • Advocates for the customer and follow user-centered design principles.

Requirements:

  • Experience designing a FinTech or Financial Consumer Services Product (experience is a must)
  • Understanding of mobile/web standards, accessibility and UX best practices.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work schedules on a short-term and/or long-term basis
  • Ability to provide consultation and recommendations to management
  • Experience designing on multiple platforms (iOS, Android, Web)
  • A strong portfolio of product design, showing an excellent sense of best practices, typography, layout, and general design principles
  • Experience and demonstrated proficiency with at least a couple modern design tools (Figma, Sketch, Framer, Principle, etc.), and an eagerness to learn new ones
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, and a minimum of two (2) + years of related work experience
