How the ACES Program Works
Widely regarded as one of the best finance services training programs in the country, our all-expense-paid program enables entry-level candidates and individuals transitioning from other industries and business sectors to learn the mortgage industry from the ground up via our proprietary curriculum, taught by our renowned team of sales experts. Once your course work is completed, you’ll have the skills you need to reach your full potential—not only from a compensation standpoint, but from a personal fulfillment standpoint—enabling you to help customers work with a brand that they know, trust and want to do business with.

Yes. Federal regulation requires all Loan Originators to be licensed in every state where you conduct business. We will guide you through this process.

You must be able to pass a federal background check and credit report check which we will confirm during the hiring process. In addition, you must be able to pass the SAFE exam at a score of 75% or higher.

Our Licensed Lending Officers are very busy! We do ask that anyone accepted into the ACES program be prepared to working approximately 45-50 hours per week to help support our wonderful customers. In addition, you may be required to work up to one Saturday per month.

All of marketing leads funnel first through our highly valued Customer Lending division. Our Customer Lending Representatives will go through a list of pre-qualifying questions and once the borrower confirms interest, the call will be transferred to you as their dedicated Loan Officer.

No. The direct lending model was strategically created to support and assist our borrowers through our internal marketing campaigns. However, if you do have outside business through friends, family & realtors — we happily welcome that business as well.

After ACES training, the fun continues & you are now officially ready to start your long-term career within the mortgage industry taking care of our customers. You will graduate to a team of approx. 15 Loan Officers reporting to a Sales Manager.
Fun fact: 90%+ of our Sales Management staff were Loan Officer's at loanDepot at one point in their career.

Due to COVID, all of loanDepot’s staff will remain remote through at least the end of 2020. Additionally, it is preferred that you live within 60 miles of one of our 6 branches for licensing purposes and utilization.
