Position Summary:
As the Director, Sales at loanDepot, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing our Consumer Direct lending division. You will be responsible for overseeing a team of Loan Officers and Production Managers, driving performance, fostering a culture of excellence, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional service to our customers. Reporting to the Vice President, Sales you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop and execute strategies to drive growth, increase efficiency, and enhance the overall effectiveness of our lending operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of Loan Officers and Production Managers, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to drive performance and achieve business objectives.
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives to optimize the lending process, improve efficiency, and enhance the customer experience.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track performance, identify areas for improvement, and drive accountability.
- Collaborate with senior leadership, sales, operations, underwriting, and other departments to ensure alignment of goals and priorities and drive cross-functional initiatives.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and excellence, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes affecting lending, and provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, regulators, industry partners, and vendors, to support business objectives and drive growth.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior leadership on the performance of the lending division, key initiatives, and strategic initiatives.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in mortgage lending, with a focus on consumer lending, including significant experience managing & leading call center teams and driving results.
- Strong understanding of mortgage products, lending processes, underwriting guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and execute strategic initiatives to drive business growth and achieve objectives.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Results-driven mindset with a passion for driving performance, innovation, and excellence.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
