Position Summary:
Responsible for providing financial analysis, analytics & reporting, and quantitative modeling to support our mortgage servicing portfolio and other areas of interest in Capital Markets. Contributes to the success of the business by supporting MSR sales from bulk sales to co-issue and early buyout sales, portfolio performance reporting & benchmarking, asset return analysis, portfolio retention analytics, and retention campaign initial population filtering/scrubbing/reporting. The position provides ample opportunity to work cross-functionally within Capital Markets and collaborates externally with multiple business groups. The Sr. Capital Markets Analyst’s combination of finance, technical and analytical skills in conjunction with experience in fixed income finance & mortgage analytics will contribute to the success of the company while continuing to grow and advance his/her career with an industry leader.
Responsibilities:
- Develops mortgage portfolio retention strategies and analytics.
- Conducts surveillance of servicing portfolio such as prepayment, recapture, and credit performances.
- Supports MSR bulk sales & early buyout sales with pricing utilizing third-party models such as Compass Analytics & ADCO Prepayment Model and transaction coordination on the Capital Markets side.
- Supports Capital Markets functions from the initial LOI review to final settlement tie-out in the process of MSR bulk sales, delinquent sales & early buyout sales.
- Performs analysis of internal fair value against third-party marks & market trade color with variance research inclusive of modeling & assumptions differences.
- Compiles market intelligence analysis of Servicing Release Premium (SRP) versus industry capitalization grids and investor co-issue pricing.
- Executes internal controls for audit and SOX compliance.
- Performs other duties and projects assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in a quantitative discipline such as finance, engineering, science, or mathematics.
- Master’s degree, or CFA charter holder, or FRM designation preferred.
- Minimum of four (4) + years’ experience in Capital Markets, mortgage industry or MSR Valuation preferred.
- Complex financial analysis and valuation experience required.
- Advanced skills in Excel required.
- Prior experience with code development to research and analyze data is required.
- Proficiency with at least one programming language (SQL, Python, C++, Java, etc.) is preferred.

Base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay for this role is between $79,000 and $139,500. Your base pay will depend on multiple individualized factors, including your job-related knowledge/skills, qualifications, experience, and market location.
