Physician Practice Manager, OrthoKansas

In conjunction with the Director, the Practice Manager is responsible for the oversight and daily direction of all practices support and operations of the practice. Responsibilities include general practice management, maximization of revenue opportunities, building practice volumes, as well as improving efficiency. The Practice Manager is responsible for building strong relationships with the physicians and staff in order to ensure smooth operations. This position assists in the strategic planning and evaluation of the operational performance of practices, quality of care and delivery, as well as competitiveness with other health care providers.

a. Builds and maintains positive working relationships with physicians in the practices as well as referring physicians.
b. Recruits, hires, supervises staff as assigned, and helps staff develop performance goals and objectives.
c. Coordinates job assignments to maintain appropriate coverage at all times.
d. Monitors appointments, patient flow, medical records, medical transcription systems and staff.
e. Ensures compliance with regulations and with clinic standards of quality patient care.
f. Assists in the creation, revision, and implementation of support systems, budgets, policies and procedures.
g. Identifies and resolves operational problems.
h. Reviews and updates payroll time sheets and associated reports.
i. Processes accounts payable in a timely manner.
j. Works with the CBO Coordinator in implementing fee, credit and collection procedures.
k. Provides data for financial statistical purposes, including reviewing invoices and statements. Collects data and prepares reports as requested.
l. Monitors inventory and purchasing of office supplies.
m. Maintains professional affiliations.
n. Ensures that the AEMR is utilized effectively and that appropriate training is provided.
o. Performs other duties as needed or assigned.


• Two years of experience in a large multi-specialty practice or practices with multiple locations, or related experience.
• Prior supervisory or managerial experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
• Experience with EMR
