At LMH Health, we are committed to being a partner for lifelong health for the communities we serve. The Patient Access Centralized Financial Clearance (CFC) Supervisor oversees the daily activities of the Patient Access CFC Department. The Supervisor of the CFC is responsible for creating a positive patient experience by providing direct supervisory oversight of the CFC and the day to day operations relating to financial clearance activities. This includes proper management and adherence to department policies and procedures related to the verification of eligibility/benefits, pre-authorization, and financial counseling. The Supervisor will serve as a resource for the CFC using such knowledge to assist with facilitating pre-auth request and driving meaningful discussions with the payors. He/she will also assist the Director with establishing and delivering ongoing education and training to new and/or existing staff. The Supervisor is also responsible for hiring, evaluating and providing ongoing mentoring and feedback to designated staff.

a. Supervises, guides and develops team members, to include assisting Patient Access Director with scheduling, coaching, counseling and disciplining employees.
b. Coordinates new employee orientation and continued employee mentoring and training.
c. Meets Patient Access operational standards by contributing information to strategic plans and reviews, implementing productions, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards, resolving problems, identifying system improvements.
d. Meets Patient Access financial standards by providing annual budget information; monitoring expenditures; identifying variances.
e. Keeps patients, relatives, visitors and admitting staff informed by communicating admitting rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
f. Provides quality assurance of prior authorizations, estimations, pre-registrations and staff productivity.
g. Ensures adequate staffing by supervising and covering 24/7 on-call responsibilities per Patient Access policies and practices.
h. Performance at a high level with little supervision.
i. Demonstrates excellent inter-personal skills, strong attention to detail, multi-task oriented.
j. Acts as a liaison between the Patient Access Department and other ancillary departments of the hospital.
k. Works to maintain a high level of positive working relationships within the department while promoting the concept of leading by example.
l. Assumes other duties deemed necessary by the Patient Access Manager.


a. Two years current admissions experience in a healthcare setting.

a. Bachelor's degree in Management, Business, Communications, or related field of study.
b. Prior supervisory experience.
