Recruiter / Talent Acquisition Specialist

 

Recruiter Overview: This role will co-manage all aspects of the recruiting lifecycle for a rapidly-growing, family-focused, team-oriented Early Childhood Education (ECE) provider. Strong interpersonal skills (with a well-developed customer service orientation), exceptional time management skills, and an upbeat and positive attitude are expected for success in this role. The recruiter will share the responsibilities outlined below with other recruiters on the team and will report to the Vice President – People.

 

Responsibilities of the Recruiter position include:

* Co-manage all aspects of the recruiting lifecycle including:

* Engaging with school administrators to understand current and future hiring needs

* Promptly posting and updating requisitions

* Conducting phone screens for potential candidates

* Scheduling candidate interviews and taking preemptive measures to ensure candidates are prepared for interviews

* Completing reference checks

* Assisting school administrators with job offers and related documentation for successful candidates

* Ensuring colleagues in HR department are informed of hiring decisions so they can initiate onboarding (i.e. new hire files, CORI/DCR info, onboarding plans, etc.)

* Proactively source candidates from a variety of channels, exploring and adding new recruiting channels to our current outreach activities

* Research and implement innovative recruiting practices to attract more qualified candidates in local markets

* Plan and support recruiting events

* Manage recruiting database and perform analysis of current recruiting practices for senior management, providing weekly updates to the senior leadership team on the status of the recruiting pipeline

* Make recommendations to senior leadership on how to optimize recruiting budget

 

Required Skills for the Recruiter position

 

* Must be professional, flexible, resourceful and highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities with fine attention to detail

* Possess current knowledge of Human Resources employment laws and recruiting best practices

* Able to develop cost effective recruiting strategies

* Possess strong verbal and written communication skills with exceptional phone skills

* Be proficient in Word and Excel and ATS system(s) (JobVite strongly preferred)

* Has experience with managing and/or analyzing digital recruiting marketing tools including Indeed, Facebook, Google AdWords, Glassdoor, etc.

* Must be able to handle sensitive and confidential information and have a commitment to excellent customer service

* Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, with all levels in the organization

 

 

Schedule Expectations

* Must be able to prioritize duties within a busy recruiting function

* Given the need for occasional evening and weekend work, to conduct phone interviews and attend recruiting events, the recruiter will have the flexibility to work from home when necessary with managerial approval

 

Physical Requirements

* Able to sit at a desk and computer for up to 90% of the day

* Must be able to travel to schools and recruiting events such as college fairs, job fairs, etc. across New England

 

Education and Experience Requirements

* Must have 2+ years’ recruiting experience

* Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred

* Knowledge and/or experience in early childhood education is desired
