Field Marketing Specialist

The Field Marketing Specialist will report to the Senior Manager, Field Marketing, and be responsible for supporting the marketing team with regional and corporate events and marketing programs to accomplish defined objectives (KPIs). The ideal candidate has experience assisting with the planning and execution of virtual and face-to-face events and working with external vendors.

A Day in the Life:

  • Assist with execution of event plans and logistics for tradeshows, client dinners, and networking events
  • Collaborate with broader marketing team – digital, design, growth, product - to keep key deliverables associated with events to a deadline
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure events are aligned to business needs
  • Work with event organizers and promotional vendors
  • Maintain regional event calendar
  • Live face-to-face events: Co-ordinate the set-up/dismantle of stands and management of stands throughout the event
  • Live virtual events: Co-ordinate speakers and technology and assist in the running of the back channel

Role progression: State the expected progression of the role over a 6-month period. Focus on what the candidate is expected to own, learn, and improve once they are in the job, as well as outline how the role is likely to progress over time.

Within 1 month, you will:

  • Complete our onboarding process
  • Meet your team and learn the nuts and bolts of our business, and where we’re going
  • Familiarize yourself with our technology by pair-programming with teammates and attending training sessions presented by your peers
  • Familiarize yourself with the Litera event planning process
  • Begin to work on in-plan events

Within 3 months, you will:

  • Assist in the delivery and management of regional events (face-to-face and virtual)
  • Attend and input to regular meetings with internal stakeholders to align business needs and objectives of live events
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to manage event follow-up process
  • Support input of internal metrics linked to ROI and marketing KPIs

Within 6 months, you will:

  • Proactively identify risks, roadblocks, dependencies, or other challenges to the successful execution of events
  • Work closely with sales teams to ensure key objectives are achieved
  • Manage event briefings with internal stakeholders
  • Identify new potential activities aligned to business needs for proposed attendance in your region
