The Opportunity: This individual will report to the SVP, Marketing, and be responsible for building a global field marketing strategy to drive new revenue growth and improve customer adoption across all of our business units, all products, and all routes to market. As Director, Field Marketing, you will define and execute field marketing programs and events to help our sales team generate and accelerate the pipeline for a company in hyper-growth, focused industry transformation.    

This position will manage a global Field Marketing team to drive new business and expand existing customer accounts in the Americas, EMEA, and APAC regions. The ideal candidate has experience building and leading a global field marketing or events team and acting as a strategic business partner to regional sales leaders. The Director of Field Marketing  is responsible for being a proactive evangelist to accomplish defined objectives (adoption/usage, KPIs, product expansion). The ideal candidate will have experience navigating a matrix organization and operating at a strategic level, as well as supporting your team with hands-on execution. Preferably, you understand working in legal practice, LegalTech, Enterprise Software, or SaaS companies to effectively share personal experience and be passionate about solving real-world problems that lawyers face every day.

A Day in the Life:

  • Build and mentor a high performing Global Field Marketing team
  • Define Field Marketing strategies in alignment with global business priorities and partnership with Product Marketing, Demand Generation, Marcom, and Sales teams; supporting established revenue growth KPI targets
  • Proactively identify opportunities to better support field sales motions to accelerate pipeline creation and speed accounts through the sales cycle
  • Actively manage the Field Marketing budget, ensuring accurate investment forecasts and budget operations excellence in every region

Role Progression 
Within 1 month, you will:

  • Familiarize yourself with Litera's products by pair-programming with cross-functional teammates, attending training sessions presented by your peers, and completing product certification in the Learn.Litera LMS
  • Meet your global cross-functional teammates and learn the nuts and bolts of our business and future vision
  • Establish and execute the Global Field Marketing & Customer Advocacy quarterly plans by rolling out local live/virtual events, webinars, ABM campaigns, etc., and driving local initiatives.
  • Partnering with the Demand Generation team to deliver a comprehensive portfolio of one to many localized marketing programs that leverage and extend global integrated campaigns and programs focused on customer acquisition, retention, and expansion

Within 3 months, you will:

  • Develop customer marketing campaigns to help generate incremental revenue and educate our customers on new products and capabilities
  • Drive effective communication with and through your team to multiple stakeholders, including sales, corporate and regional teams
  • Analyze the success of field marketing and customer-related events and campaigns demonstrating effective KPI measurement of marketing activities

Within 6 months, you will:

  • Identify key customers that can act as a marketing channel through case studies, speaking opportunities, marketing events, webinars, videos, etc.
  • Expand Litera's brand awareness into new geographical markets to drive demand
  • Manage a library of up-to-date customer success stories, videos, podcasts, etc.
  • Lead a team to create and deliver our customer success strategy, define, optimize and control the processes associated with that strategy and relentlessly champion the customer
