As a Marketing Solutions Account Director with our Online Sales Organization (OSO), you will be responsible for responding to highly signalled inbound inquiries as well as blanketing your region with outbound activity. You will strategically approach target companies and sell LinkedIn marketing solutions that help them achieve their marketing objectives.  Although you strive to meet and exceed quota, you will always act in the best interest of the client, align with LinkedIn’s culture and values, and contribute to the culture of the team.

You will be confident on the phone, tenacious and highly organized. Ideally, you will be used to high volume, transactional sales and you will perform and adapt well in a highly dynamic, rapidly changing environment. You will be able to effectively manage time, reach decision-makers and quickly determine opportunity potential.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a sales plan to ensure your quarterly target achievement
  • Prospect to build pipeline and strong relationships with prospects including over the phone, creating tailored emails and employing social selling
  • Acquire new business by developing and presenting relevant solutions that help clients achieve their marketing objectives
  • Close new business consistently at or above quota expectations
  • Once acquiring customers, work closely to drive business results
  • Look to drive upsell and strategic renewal opportunities
  • Identify growth opportunities within your book and build a plan to execute against these growth targets
  • Take ownership of your portfolio and plan for growth and retention
  • Create reliable forecasts and be completely transparent with management on your pipeline status
  • Collaborate with a Client Solutions Manager to deliver reporting and optimise towards client KPI’s
  • Discover the competitive landscape and elaborate your elevator pitch

Basic Qualifications:

  • Degree qualified
  • 2+ years sales experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ year experience working with digital marketing products or media solutions
  • Experience preparing sales proposals, forecasts and account planning
  • Experience in renewing and growing a group of Accounts
  • Knowledge of how internet advertising works to drive full funnel marketing objectives from brand to ROI attribution
  • Possess the ability to build relationships with key marketing decision makers at national Fortune 1000 companies and top agencies
  • Experience of working in the Australian advertising, agency, and/or marketing industry
  • New client acquisition experience and familiarity with B2B business cycles
  • Has built relationships with top B2B marketing decision makers (C-suite to Digital Marketing Managers) and key media agency teams
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate and close high-level business using solution based selling
  • Experience of selling SaaS or marketing software
  • Experience in online or traditional media sales at a top publisher platform
  • Data driven storyteller - experience of leveraging data insights to engage clients
