We’re looking for a PM to help accelerate our growth and engagement in the Japanese market. This is a unique opportunity to create and execute a roadmap that touches every part of LinkedIn’s product. From conducting local user research to working with engineers and designers to build new features to creating and executing launch plans with colleagues in Tokyo, you will play a key role in our mission to create economic opportunity for all Japanese professionals.


· Develop a comprehensive product and marketing roadmap to deliver on business goals

· Drive global product requirements definition, product planning and product design (including writing PRDs) of new features and enhancements

· Understand and lead analyses of the competitive environment, customers and product metrics to determine the right set of features to drive growth and engagement in Japan

· Collaborate with local teams in Tokyo (BD, PMM, Editorial, PR, and other functions) to bring features and initiatives successfully to market

· Work cross-functionally and with the Product Development team to bring features live to the site

· Clearly communicate product benefits to our users and internal stakeholders

Basic Qualifications:

· 4+ years of experience in product management or equivalent role

· Japan-specific domain expertise, including experience living and working in Japan

Preferred Qualifications:

· Business level fluency in Japanese (reading & writing)

· BS degree in a technology-related field

· Experience building web products with a demonstrated ability to drive product planning, development and launch

· Knowledge of the Internet, emerging web technologies and community building

· Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with and understand technical subjects and emerging technologies and their relevance to the marketplace

· Ability to manage and lead across highly cross-functional teams

· Ability to communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
