Group Manager, Marketing Analytics & Performance Systems – Data Foundations

The Group Manager, Data Foundations, will be an important leader in ensuring business requirements for our data architecture and data systems are met. The Group Manager and their team will act as a key intermediary between the marketing organization, data science, MarTech, and engineering, consolidating and organizing business requirements and ensuring fluid communications between both groups. This team can be thought of as the product managers for our data - setting a clear vision for what the business needs and working closely with our data science and engineering partners to make the vision a reality.  The Group Manager will help lead key projects, including the refresh of the taxonomy and hierarchy of our data, the impact of CRM migration on marketing data, and the updates to attribution logic as needed based on new go-to-market motions – all of which have tremendous influence on how we measure our business and ultimately make investment decisions.

The ideal candidate will be an exceptional leader in project and stakeholder management, able to move seamlessly between complex, technical conversations and high-level concepts. This Group Manager has strong knowledge of how marketing works and is well versed in marketing analytics, knowing the underlying technical requirements to serve a marketing organization. They will be exceptional at building strong relationships across the marketing and data science organizations, distilling complex ideas into easy-to-digest communications, and running large change management programs in a way that inspires confidence and trust across both M&C and data science stakeholders. They will be able to have both a detailed conversation in ‘the weeds’ of our data architecture and systems, as well as translate these highly technical concepts to the ‘so what’ for non-technical audiences. Above all else, the ideal candidate is an excellent leader who is able to remove roadblocks and build consensus in a way that drives the business forward, ensuring best-in-class data and reporting to unlock marketing’s full potential.
