We are looking for a Strategic Account Manager to join our Learning Solutions team. Strategic Account Managers are sales professions that build deep relationships with our fully invested customers, act as trusted advisors, and deliver value to our largest corporate customers.  

 

In this role, you will be responsible for helping our fully invested, long-term customers effectively derive value from the LinkedIn Learning platform, insights, and world-class content. As a result, you are responsible for renewing and growing our customers annual investments. You will be dedicated and incentivized to help our largest corporate customers achieve their objectives and overcome the challenges they have achieving these objectives. You will be responsible for closing multi-year contracts for company-wide investments with LinkedIn Learning. Although you should possess a strategic approach to selling and strive to meet/exceed revenue goals, you should expect to always have your clients’ best interest in mind and act as their internal advocate to ensure they are set up for success.   
 

Responsibilities: 

  • Build deep relationships and manage the commercial relationship with high-level (often C-Suite) customer executives in HR, L&D, Marketing, Sales, IT and across departments within your customer base
  • Develop and execute strategic, insights-driven, territory and account plans  
  • Ability to multithread across department to establish and build influence across buying influences 
  • Ability to uncover your customers’ external pressures, business objectives, and challenges achieving those objectives, while effectively mapping our solutions and unique value to those challenges and objectives. 
  • Partner closely with your assigned customer success manager to ensure customer is receiving value aligned to key objectives and challenges 
  • Drive activation and engagement of the learning solution 
  • Lead and perform value reviews with customers to  
  • Manage and close large, at times multi-million dollar renewal opportunities 
  • Work to develop and circulate the set of best practices that will be the foundation of this growing team 
  • Reliably forecast your business each quarter 
  • Listen to the needs of the market and share with product and marketing teams 
  • Close business consistently at or above quota level 

 
 
Basic Qualifications: 

  • 10 + years of applicable sales experience 
     
    Preferred Qualifications: 
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent in a related field 
  • Experience with SaaS sales, account management and CRM use 
  • MBA degree or evidence of continuous professional development 
  • Experience with talent retention and talent acquisition  
  • Experience working in the talent development/talent management industry 
  • Experience carrying a revenue target with the ability to develop compelling strategies that deliver long term results 
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and forecasting skills 
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain and manage high-level business in an evangelistic sales environment 
  • Ability to gather and leverage data to inform decision making and persuade others, especially in a competitive market 
  • Ability to assess business opportunities and read prospective buyers 
  • Ability to orchestrate the closure of business with an accurate understanding of customer needs
