As a Maintenance Assistant on the Association Management team at Miranova Condominiums, you will assist with the preventive maintenance program to maintain property equipment in proper working condition. This includes training daily with the Building Engineer and Maintenance Technician to build knowledge and skill in building maintenance.  Works a schedule as directed by the Building Engineer to maintain a safe and error-free condition of company property in order to achieve the best working conditions possible.
What You’ll Do
  • Attends to trash & recycling each day.
  • Change homeowner air filters as assigned.
  • Put up and take down elevator pads as scheduled.
  • Escorts scheduled vendors on occasion (i.e. HVAC preventative maintenance, pest control).
  • Escorts window cleaners as assigned.
  • Assist in power washing of garage floors.
  • Report anything “out of ordinary”.
  • Maintains pool chemicals and cleaning during season.
  • Assists with preventive maintenance program to maintain property equipment in proper working condition.
  • Maintain trash rooms and change out trash dumpsters on the compactor as needed.
  • Take trash and recycle dumpsters to the street for dumping per pick up schedule.
  • Maintenance mechanical rooms and roof in clean, working order.
  • All other duties as assigned.

 

About You
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training preferred.
  • Work requires strong willingness to learn and gain knowledge of and experience with all aspects of high rise building management maintenance, including building mechanical systems, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, fire/life safety, security, exterior construction, elevators, etc.  
  • Work requires strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and engage appropriately with residents, Association Manager and Board members
  • Work requires the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Work requires strong customer service skills.
  • Work requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, multi-tasking, ability to follow directions, planning and time management skills.
  • Work requires the ability to adhere and ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed at all times.
  • Work requires excellent interpersonal skills including strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Work requires basic computer skills
  • Work requires a strong sense of responsibility, ownership and accountability.
