SUMMARY: Directs manufacturing operations through the development, execution and continuous improvement of lean strategies to exceed metrics in People, Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Delivery.

- Contributes to the development and execution of people resource strategies in assigned value streams according to Beliefs & Drivers (core values):

- Develops, Implements, and sustains lean manufacturing practices to ensure value stream profitability by exceeding company requirements and continuous improvement of Safety, Quality, Productivity, and delivery.
- Contributes to manufacturing operational strategies by providing information, analysis, and recommendations to peer group & senior management
- Establishes functional objectives to support organizational objectives.
- Establishes manufacturing operational strategy for value stream by evaluating manufacturing trends; establishing critical measurements; determining production, productivity, quality, and customer-service strategies.
- Develops financial strategy for operations through:
- forecasting of manufacturing requirements for assigned areas
- resource allocation
- measurement and analysis of results
- labor, re-work, line production, accident rate, environmental incidents, turnover/retention rate, etc.
- developing necessary countermeasures
- minimizing variances
- development of annual profit plan
- monthly and quarterly reporting
- Ensures conformance to customer requirements per ISO-9001, TS-16949 and ISO 14001 standards.
- Adheres to ISO-9001 and TS-16949 quality standards.
- Audits production output for compliance to customer requirements.
- Analyzes current jobs and implements continuous improvement plans per ISO-9001 and TS-16949 standards to improve quality and productivity.
- Could potentially come in contact with hazardous chemicals.
- Environmental responsibility is our commitment to our communities.
- Proper disposal of waste such as recyclables, standard waste, hazardous waste, etc. is expected.
- Any other tasks as required fulfilling Lincoln Industries' Beliefs and Drivers.
ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE:
- Reports to: Vice President, Operations
- Supervises: Operations Managers, CI Manager, Shift Leaders
QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be substituted for the expected levels of education and experience required.
Education and Experience:
Expected: Bachelor’s Degree. 8 years of experience in managing manufacturing operations and people development. 5 years demonstrated experience in continuous improvement. In-depth knowledge and application of manufacturing best practices – Lean, Kaizen, 5S, and Value Stream. Must have experience and success with positive people practices and creating a culture of trust and engagement

Communication Skills:
- Must be able to read, write and comprehend the English language.
Other Skills:
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
