SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for accurately entering purchase orders into the computer system, verifying shipping paperwork, preparing parts for inventory and placing them in the proper area. Assisting with support documentation for Maintenance assets.
WAGE TYPE: Hourly

- Enter purchase orders into the computer system.
- Communicate with internal customers, both verbally and in writing, regarding the status of purchase orders.
- Perform cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Utilize Microsoft Office software to complete daily tasks.
- Operate and maintain purchasing systems including TAG and Navision.
- Travel between the main campus and other locations to support maintenance activities.
- Receive and check in parts.
- Tag received parts and identify them as ready for line use or storage.
- Build and maintain the Maintenance Library of assets.
- Research documentation to support assets and capture information in the Maintenance Library.
- Drive and operate forklifts as required.
- Conduct weekly checks of parts bins to ensure correct items are stocked and adequate.
- Maintain the parts room in a clean and orderly condition, ensuring racks and cages remain organized.
- Support continuous improvement by focusing on reducing total inventory levels and minimizing purchasing impact.
- Assist the Planner or Coordinator with tasks as required.
- Travel and perform other support duties as necessary to maintain operational efficiency.

- Reports to: Maintenance Purchasing Agent
QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be substituted for the expected levels of education and experience required.
Education and/or Experience:
Expected: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Preferred: Six months to one year related experience and/or training.
Communication Skills:
- Must be able to read, write and comprehend the English language.
- Must be able to clearly understand material tracking documents and communicate verbally with line personnel on a daily basis.
- Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
