Purpose:

Senior role in the Focus Discovery department reporting to the Senior Director of Focus Discovery. Drive and execute Focus Discovery analytics and review projects and internal strategic initiatives. Consult with clients and internal resources, including Sales, Finance, Consulting, and Service Delivery departments, to scope and implement strategic technology-driven analytics and review projects. Develop and maintain Focus Discovery workflows and documentation—including for tracking, reporting, billing, sales, and project execution—to achieve specific client objectives and departmental project goals. Serve as a review and analytics resource and escalation point for clients, the Service Delivery and Consulting departments, and other internal departments.


What You'll Do:

Execution of Focus Discovery projects including:

  • Performing subjective search, analytics, and review
  • Gathering and synthesizing substantive case information and client goals
  • Scoping and coordinating work with internal and outside counsel
  • Reporting results to clients, counsel, and Focus management
Leads identification and scoping of prospective Focus Discovery engagements with current and prospective clients:
  • Analysis of client history and current cases’ analytics and review needs to propose additional/alternative engagement opportunities
  • Lead participant in calls and meetings with clients/counsel/review firms regarding Focus Discovery engagement
  • Lead participant supporting Sales team engagements with prospective clients
Strategic Leadership:
  • Taking proactive role in thought leadership, process development, and sales support around Focus Discovery offerings
  • Supporting Focus Discovery management in defining and executing the strategic direction of Focus Discovery tools and process offerings
Internal Projects:
  • Serves as project owner providing leadership, planning, and support on special projects assigned to Focus team members
  • Responsible for defining and managing scope of Focus Discovery projects
General Responsibility:
  • Primary point of contact for internal departmental coordination
  • Creates standard workflows and participates in quality initiatives that support the Focus Discovery team
  • Creates, defines, and administers team collaborative online spaces
  • Travel to prospective and existing clients, training and conferences required

What You'll Need:
  • JD required
  • 10+ years of experience in legal industry
  • Minimum 5 years litigation or ediscovery industry experience required
  • Excellent knowledge of litigation support and legal discovery process and concepts
  • Proven success and desire to consult with clients/internal departments, projecting expertise and solving day-to-day challenges as well as strategic challenges
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with clients and internal staff (demonstrated both in relaxed atmosphere and under pressure)
  • Working knowledge of litigation technology, including key applications and tools used across the EDRM
  • Ability to multitask under pressure
  • Experience leading complex projects and managing multidisciplinary teams from other departments preferred
  • Prior in-house corporate legal or law firm legal staff experience required
