Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with schools and sales field to develop unique yearbook and school messaging design themes for a variety of products
  • Responsible for accurate delivery of design files to internal and external production vendors following specific file specifications
  • Mentor one-on-one creative sessions with schools during yearbook workshops or webinars to aid in the creative development process and experience
  • Assist Product Design Manager with balancing design assignments amongst design team
  • Creative problem solver: define challenges, collect relevant information, draw insightful conclusions
  • Ensure designs adhere to brand guidelines
  • Demonstrate a high taste level and creative ability
  • Strong collaboration with schools on yearbook theme development
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners and problem solve as necessary
  • Understand technical design requirements for the manufacturing of yearbooks & the print shop
  • Review and analyze yearbook samples in detail
  • Manage file preparation
  • Some travel required
  • Other duties as assigned



  • Strong Photoshop experience required
  • Illustrator is a plus
  • 1-2 years experience in designing for publishing embellishment and applications such as foil stamping, silkscreen, embossing/debossing, die cuts and lamination.
  • Strong project management, time management and organization skills with a proven ability to balance and execute against multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Thrives in a collaborative team environment but also excels at working independently
  • Ability to communicate effectively internally and externally
  • Strong attention to detail and proven ability to problem solve
  • Willingness to be flexible with tasks on a day to day basis and evolve role as required by the needs of the team
  • Engaging interpersonal or customer relationship skills
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Yearbook (or comparable) publishing experience is an advantage
