Assist the Director of Community Life to ensure the development, organization and coordination of facility and community resources designed to meet the needs and interests of each resident to encompass the seven dimensions of wellness.

Essential Job Functions

  • Update and distribute the tenant roster each month.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining the mailing list for the facility.
  • Maintain community life systems as required by state/federal regulations.
  • Promote and integrate the wellness dimensions into the community life programs.
  • Provide individual programming determined by resident preference and need.
  • Communicate and coordinate the Wellness and Community Life functions with other departments in a constructive manner that helps build team rapport and effectiveness.
  • Communicate programs and develop positive relations with residents, family, and volunteers.
  • Participate in Care Conferences.
  • Attend and participate in Community Life department and other required meetings.
  • Maintain Community Life department and other community supplies and equipment.
  • Work with volunteers as assigned by CL Department Supervisor.
  • Assist with planning and leadership of special events as assigned.
  • Obtain training to drive community van for resident outings, within (time frame??)
  • All other duties as needed.

Code of Conduct

Must adhere to Company’s Code of Conduct policy including documentation and reporting responsibilities.


  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Experience in health care is preferred.
  • Must be compassionate toward the elderly, work with tact and ethical awareness, and ensure personal tenant information is kept confidential.
  • Clear understanding that all injuries/accidents must be reported to a supervisor immediately.
  • Must be able to relate professionally, positively, and cooperatively with residents, resident’s families and employees.
  • Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance.
  • Must meet all local health regulations and pass post-employment physical exam if required.  This requirement also includes drug screening, criminal background investigation, and reference inquiry.
  • Must be capable of performing the Essential Job Functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
