ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
• Maintain community life systems as required by state/federal regulations
• Promote and integrate the wellness dimensions into the community life programs
• Provide individual programming determined by resident preference and need
• Communicate and coordinate the Wellness and Community Life functions with other departments in a
constructive manner that helps build team rapport and effectiveness
• Communicate programs and develop positive relations with residents, family, and volunteers
• Participate in Care Conferences
• Attend and participate in Community Life department and other required meetings
• Maintain Community Life department and other community supplies and equipment
• Adhere to universal precautions and sanitary, safety and infection control policies and procedures
• Work with volunteers as assigned by CL Department Supervisor
• Assist with planning and leadership of special events as assigned
• Ability to obtain training to drive community van for resident outings
• Provide orientation and training to staff as needed, including participating in new hire onboarding and
in-service education
• All other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience in health care preferred
• Exceptional telephone and communication skills
• Must have a passion for working with older adults
• Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance
• Advanced computer skills
• Must meet all local health regulations, and pass post-employment physical exam if required. This
requirement also includes drug screening, criminal background investigation, and reference inquiry
• Must be capable of performing the Essential Job Functions of this job, with or without reasonable
accommodation
