As a Senior Web Developer at Lifesprk, you have worked on a variety of applications that have required the level of polish to deliver an exceptional experience to consumers and internal users alike. You likely have been a technical lead in the past and enjoy collaborating with your peers to deliver business value.  You have embraced Javascript and some of the leading component-based frameworks to accelerate both the user and developer experience. You love testing of all sorts and are eager to travel all the way down the stack in order to provide value. Subtext: lots of greenfield work to be done!

At Lifesprk we have a particular need here as well, Salesforce Lightning Web Components. We need you to know it or learn it, work closely with our Salesforce development team to bring the power of custom development to our Salesforce implementation, and then extend that to the Web.

We are collaborative, transparent, and believe that trust is the foundation of a great culture. Come use your superpowers for good and spark a life!

How you will spend your day (to start):

  • Help us to build our foundation and architecture for Web Development at Lifesprk starting with Salesforce Lightning Components and move outward from there. We are still in the early phases of choosing web technologies, be a part of designing our app from the beginning!
  • Utilize Looker and other data visualizations to display meaningful data and insights to our business partners.
  • Work daily as a part of our agile engineering team and with our Salesforce lead to evolve a sophisticated system architecture across all our offerings.
  • Partner closely with key stakeholders, including the product team, internal clinical employees, data and technology teams, and end-users to develop a roadmap for LEADS custom web applications.
  • Build lovable, well-designed, performant web experiences with a strong foundation in engineering principles around testing, security, readability, and extensibility.

Where are we going?

  • Ingesting 3rd party data and applying the latest data science methods in order to generate actionable insights.
  • Building out custom applications for our care team in both Salesforce and the web to serve our staff, members’ families, and their greater support team. What else can we leverage the web for?  Mobile?
  • Developing an insights engine that becomes smarter the more we use it.

What you’ll bring to the team:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent technology industry experience required.
  • 7+ years of professional experience as an application developer with a bias toward rich client development
  • 3+ years of experience with a component-based framework like React or Angular  > 2
  • A strong understanding of API applications with 2+ years of experience building backend APIs
  • A strong desire to go full-stack. You don’t have to in order to succeed here, but the opportunity for collaboration grows when you want to go down a level and teach your teammates about our web approach.
  • Many years of experience on Agile teams.  We have pulled together our own flavor and are committed to continuous improvement.
  • A commitment to testing and quality. Come teach us a thing or two about your testing approach.
  • A bias toward action. You love to push things forward and find creative ways to work around blockers.
  • A positive and energetic attitude that thrives when solving unique and difficult problems.
  • Experience as a remote teammate - come help us do it right as we commit to building a happy, connected, and collaborative distributed team.
  • Willingness and ability to travel and to provide off-hours support - we need to get together every once in a while and see each other's smiling faces!
