Assistant Director of Life Care

Description

The Assistant Director, Campus Operations is responsible for ensuring adequate training of staff on all shifts, adequate care planning for clients, ensuring appropriate protocols are in place for the safety, health and well-being of clients and compliance with state requirements. This role acts as the direct supervisor to campus staff and the clinical lead within the campus when the Director of Life Care is unavailable.

Position Functions and Responsibilities

Leadership & Culture

  • Assists in establishing, implementing, and evaluating goals and objectives for care that meet and promote the standards of quality and contribute to the total organization and philosophy
  • Provides guidance and counseling to staffing, caregiving and clinical team to assist them in continually improving all aspects of services, provided through organization personnel
  • Supports site leadership of staff that creates employees and clients for life
  • Leads and manages in alignment with company strategy tools and expectations
  • Demonstrates Self-Awareness, Self-Management, Situational Leadership
  • Adheres to all performance, confidentiality and professional standards
  • Assist with orientation of new personnel
  • Ensures smooth delivery of all services and resources
  • Troubleshoots and responds to service opportunities, issues or questions
  • Services as secondary contact with LCM is not immediately available
  • Contributes new ideas for efficiency and improved systems

Clinical and Client Leadership and Support

  • Provides help in assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care to all direct care personnel as needed
  • Oversees the maintenance of electronic health records, statistics, and reports for purposes of evaluation and reporting of organization activities
  • Assures proper maintenance of clinical records in compliance with local, state and federal laws
  • Responsible for the maintenance of adequate and appropriate inventory supplies and equipment for the provision of client care

Community Partnerships

  • Builds professional relationships that represent Lifesprk in a professional and positive light
  • Reports awareness of community events or situations that may affect Lifesprk business activities
  • Adheres to Partnership standards defined in contract

Financial

  • Assists in the interpretation of operational indicators within the Profit and Loss statement that impact Gross Profit Margin and assists in prioritizing assignments and balancing workloads to achieve productivity
  • Owns, understands, tracks, educates and manages occupancy to budget, and understands the Marketing Partnership and the impact of early involvement in the Sales Process
  • Owns, understands, tracks, educates and manages LCM and HHA Productivity expectations
  • Owns, understands, tracks, educates and manages LCM and HHA expense per budget and understands the indicators of mismanaged expense, including HHA overtime

Quality & Compliance

  • Assures compliance with all local, state and federal laws regarding licensure and certification of personnel and maintains compliance to the Comprehensive License Home Care Rule, MN Nurse Practice Act, Housing with Services Contract Act, Vulnerable Adult Act, and Lifesprk Policies and Procedures
  • Assures proper maintenance of clinical records in compliance with local, state and federal laws, including regular auditing for trends, education needs and reporting of organization activities
  • Responsible for the maintenance of adequate and appropriate inventory supplies and equipment

Other

  • Participate in on-call program rotation for MOD

Qualifications

1. Current RN license required; BSN preferred.

2. Knowledge of state/federal licensing statutes and regulation

3. Ability to analyze complex problem situations and make decisions which produce positive results

4. Excellent written and oral communication skills

5. Good organizational skills; ability to work independently

6. Ability to promote and maintain a positive attitude and encourage others to do the same

7. Ability to manage several concurrent assignments and prioritize a workload accordingly

8. Ability to lead diverse teams; adjust styles
