About You and this Role

You understand that structure, processes and systems can actually accelerate growth, not stifle it. You enjoy working with cross-functional teams to craft and administer global programs. You have an entrepreneurial spirit and thrive on solving complex problems.  You demonstrate a growth mindset as you tackle challenges head-on and you possess the gravitas to sell your ideas internally as well as externally.  You pride yourself on flawless execution as you build critical cross-border and cross departmental relationships.  You see your role as that of “Chief of Staff” and central to the healthy functioning of the Channel Sales organization.  You will work directly with the VP of Global Channel Sales to build-out repeatable, scalable programs and processes that enable our Channel Sales team and our ecosystem of 300+ partners to execute flawlessly on our global Channel Sales strategy and that integrates tightly with Liferay’s vision to continue to be the foremost provider of Digital Experience solutions. 

Here are some highlights of what you’ll be working on. 

Major Objectives

  • Developing and executing Standard Operating Procedures and best practices across the organization globally
  • Driving the implementation of and adherence to new channel programs, processes and systems  by coordinating across global resources and departments: Channel Sales, Sales Operations, Global Partner Marketing, Global Partner Enablement, Global Services, Customer Success,  Legal and Direct Sales
  • Improving and streamlining business processes and systems to facilitate efficient working relationships with partners 
  • Coordinating with Liferay Legal to ensure 100% compliance of channel programs and processes
  • Managing resources responsible for  and taking ownership of the following:
    • Global Partner Summit
    • Partner Advisory Boards
    • Partner Communications
    • Partner Program Guides
    • Other cross-functional projects

Qualifications

  • Four-year college degree or equivalent; MBA a plus
  • 5-7  years of partner operations experience preferably in the software industry – with proven international work experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing) with peers and executive management to translate business issues into practical solutions that creates value for internal and external stakeholders
  • Enthusiastic personality, strategic thinker and a self-starter capable of working independently with little or no supervision
  • Strong time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines and manage the demands of multiple competing projects and requests
  • Deep understanding of operations “best practices” with a process improvement orientation
  • Understanding of and experience with implementing PRM, CRM and other management reporting tools / metric-based measurement systems
  • A history of driving successful change within an organization
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with a hands-on mentality
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%
